🪔Happy Navarātra! We bring you something small and whole this Navarātra: the Kāmākṣī Bimba Pūjā, a worship of the Goddess of Kāñcīpuram through twenty-four names.
The practice is simple. You rest your attention on a specific part of Kāmākṣī’s form that the name points to. Then you feel that same place in your own body. This worship begins at her eyes, moves through her ornaments, her weapons and her seat, honors her home at Kāñcī and her great devotee Durvāsa, and comes back to her eyes.
A bimba pūjā is worship of her form, built in the mind, ornament by ornament.
But watch what happens as you build it. By the time you reach the end and gather her whole form as your own, the distinction between the one worshiping
and the one worshiped has quietly collapsed.
