💙💛 Serving Our Community, One Project at a Time! 💙💛

Last Thursday, our Canton Career Center Student Ambassadors spent the day giving back at Saab Kiddie Park! 🌳🛝

Our Ambassadors rolled up their sleeves and got to work beautifying the park by painting the merry-go-round, slide, and tables; w**d eating; trimming branches; and picking up trash throughout the area. 🧹🎨🌿 They truly showed what it means to take pride in and give back to the community they call home!

After a job well done, students participated in team-building activities and took time to debrief and reflect on our community service experience from last month. It was a great opportunity to strengthen teamwork, communication, and leadership while continuing to grow together as a group. 🫱🏽‍🫲🏾

We are so proud of our Student Ambassadors for their hard work, positive attitudes, and willingness to serve! A special thank you to Canton Parks & Recreation for providing the supplies and giving our students the opportunity to show up, serve, and make a difference in their community. 💙

💜 September is Su***de Prevention Month 💜

This month serves as an important reminder to raise awareness, encourage conversations about mental health, and remind others that hope, help, and support are available. Every conversation and act of kindness can make a difference.

A special thank you to Ms. Bright’s Law & Public Safety classes for their hard work and creativity in designing posters to promote su***de prevention awareness throughout Canton Career Center. Your efforts are helping spread messages of hope, encouragement, and support to your fellow students. 💜

💙💛 Serving, Learning, and Leading! 💙💛

Our Canton Career Center Student Ambassadors completed their first community service field trip of the year alongside their advisors, Mrs. Wilson, Mrs. Nichols, and Mr. Matthews!

The Ambassadors traveled to the Mississippi Public Health Institute, where they participated in a Naloxone Kit Assembly Project, working together to prepare kits that support an important community health initiative. We are proud of our students for giving their time to serve and make a difference! 🙌🏽

🌟 Ambassador Spotlight: A special shoutout to one of our groups who truly stood out during the assembly project — Katelyn Small, Kathryn Richards, Jada Wise, Zion Ransburg, Nathan Nichols, and Myshel Porter! Their organization, clear system, teamwork, adaptability, and communication resulted in a cohesive and seamless process from beginning to end. Great job demonstrating what leadership looks like in action!

Of course, we had to mix service with a little fun! 😊 After completing their project, the Ambassadors enjoyed lunch at Chick-fil-A and spent some time at the park before heading back. They had a great time making memories while serving together!

We are off to a great start! 💙💛 Stay tuned for our next Student Ambassador community service activity!
