I showed up today at the Red Cross blood drive event to donate blood for sickle cell patients. If you are healthy enough to donate blood for sickle cell patients, please do it. Your actions could save a valuable life, may be the life of a future community leader or a game changer, who knows! Your donation will make a difference.

To bring STEMM activities to our underserved communities in Stark, Summit, Tuscarawas, and Carroll Counties, Ekaza-Bridging The Gap is running a fundraising campaign to convert our school bus into a STEMM On Wheels Lab. Our minimum goal is to reach $15,000 (does not include the cost of STEMM equipment). Extra funds, if any, will be used to acquire STEMM. To donate, please scan the QR code on the flyer. Ekaza is a 501c3 organization, which means your donation can be claimed as a tax deduction when you file your taxes. Thanks for your support!

Introducing STEM rudiments to inner-city youths through art. In this class that Ekaza calls BioArt, students are learning some elements of human anatomy (the skeletal system) using microscopy, technology, art, and human anatomy models. This is a fruitful collaboration with EN-RICH-MENT, a sister organization well-established in Stark County. So, shout out to Ms. Betty Smith at EN-RICH-MENT.

On this day of December 31, 2023, I would like to express my deep gratitude to my God, Eyo, who is the Creator of everything around me and creates harmony both within me and around me. I want to express my gratitude to my ancestors, Oyek, Essissis, Yeguign, and Nguegn, for protecting me and interceding for me with Eyo so that my life was preserved during my hospitalization for the entire month of September 2023 and that I recover my health not only physical by regaining the necessary energy and my ability to walk again, a little better every day, go about my daily tasks, but also to regain my emotional health and inner balance. God be praised! I pray that He will continue to watch over me and my offspring.
My gratitude goes to my second half, my wife Afe, who, with bravery and affection, literally carried me, watched over me tirelessly, and watched over the wonderful children we had. Thank you, my Afe, for continuing to watch over us. May God bless you continually.
I want to thank all my family in Gabon for the multiple prayers and masses, my sister in Nigeria for her month of prayer and fasting, and my aunt in France for her prayers and masses. A big thank you to my in-laws in Cameroon for their countless prayers on my behalf. A special thank you to all our friends in Africa, Europe, and the Americas for their prayers and their support of all kinds.
I am thankful to my Kent State University colleagues for their support of all kinds.
To all those who supported me, whether directly or indirectly, during the challenging period of my life I went through in this last trimester of 2023, I would like to thank you again, and wherever you are, I pray the Eternal God to bless you according to your needs, that he’ll be with you and keeps you throughout the new year 2024 and well beyond.
Happy New Year 2024 to all!
