We had a wonderful first Grandparent and Me class. So many of the little ones that joined us today had a mommy or daddy go through our ECC or Hebrew School. Talk about a full circle!

Do you have a child ages TK-2nd grade? Our BaGeL Family Program is going to the zoo this Sunday, October 17, and we would love for you to join us!
We are proud to announce that we are now enrolling for our brand new Grandparents and Me “Shabbat is Coming” class. The class will be held on Wednesdays, November 3, 10, and 17 in the Weisz Garden. Vaccinations are required or negative COVID test (for the grandparents) and masks must be worn. We hope you will come check out this new class!

It was so wonderful to see smiling faces (under masks, of course) and hear singing children back on campus again as we began our new school year at JLC! Here are our Kindergarten - 3rd graders learning about this week’s Torah portion about Noah and the Ark from Rabbi Adam Schaffer.
We hope our families have all been well and thriving. We have missed seeing your happy faces in person! We are looking forward to welcoming you back to campus in many ways!
Our new BaGeL Family Program is beginning this Sunday with a wonderful experience at the Shofar Factory! This program is open to all families with children ages TK-2nd grade! Check out our website for more details!
Our new and reinvented Jewish Learning Cooperative is accepting registrations right now and school begins on October 3. This program is open to children in grades TK-7th grade. Charoset Making - Persian Style!
Ingredients:
1 cup raisins
1⁄2 cup chopped walnuts
1 cup dates (soaked in hot water and unpitted)
2 spoons Dates Syrup (Silan)
1⁄2 cup unsalted almonds (optional)
1⁄2 unsalted pistachios (optional)
1⁄2 to 1 cup red wine (Menischewitz or grape juice)
1 apple (graded thin)
1⁄4 cup of pomegranates juice
Clove (optional)
Cinnamon powder (optional)
The ingredients are up to your own taste. I personally do not like almonds and pistachios, but you can add it if you like.
Please soak the dates in hot water for at least 12 hours.
