This is a picture of a reproduction of a Civil War era Gatling Gun. I saw it a living history event at Hale Farms Museum outside of Cleveland in 2012 or so. It is does not use cartridges but rather is loaded sort of like a muzzleloading revolver. It is essentially a very large revolver. It is smaller than the later version of the Gatling. The guy in green sitting behind it is one of a couple of guys who actually built it from original plans. They fire it at events, but not the one I was at. Sadly, Company G does not have one of these.
