5:45 AM. No field lights. No problem.
Two directors. Two cars. One very questionable lighting system.

High Plains, here we come. 😂

🐾🖤💛 WILDCAT NATION, LET’S PACK THE STANDS! 💛🖤🐾

This Saturday, the Wildcat Band is headed to Amarillo to compete at the High Plains Marching Festival, and we want YOU there to cheer them on!

Our Wildcats will take the field at Bivins Stadium for their prelims performance at 10:45 AM. They’ve been putting in the work, and now it’s time to show them just how much Wildcat Nation supports them!

🎟️ Admission is $7 for either prelims or finals, or just $10 to attend both!

We know it’s an early morning, but we promise it’s worth it! Call time for the band is 5:45 AM, and we’ll depart for Bivins Stadium at 7:15 AM.

So grab your family, grab your friends, put on your BLACK AND GOLD, and make the trip to Amarillo! Bring your Wildcat spirit, bring your loudest cheers, and help us fill the stands with black and gold as our band takes the field!
Let’s give them the kind of support they can hear all the way across the stadium! 📣🎺🥁

Come cheer. Come support. Come make some noise.

WILDCAT NATION — WE’LL SEE YOU AT BIVINS! 🐾🖤💛

🥁🧡 Big things are happening in the Wildcat Band percussion section!

Thanks to the incredible generosity of our Canadian Wildcat Band Booster Club, our percussionists now have three beautiful new Malletech keyboards — two gorgeous xylophones and a beautiful orange-key Omega Vibraphone!

These new instruments will be put to great use throughout our program. Our Beginner Band, Middle School Wind Ensemble, and High School Wind Ensemble students will all have opportunities to learn and perform on these keyboards, and our percussionists will also use them as they prepare for Solo & Ensemble. We are excited to see — and hear — all that our students will accomplish with these new additions!

We are incredibly thankful for our Wildcat Band Boosters and everything they do for our students. Their support, time, dedication, and generosity make opportunities like this possible. Every time our boosters invest in the program, they are investing directly in our kids and helping create an experience they will remember for years to come.

We also want to extend a special thank-you to Malletech for the craftsmanship and quality that went into these instruments. The care put into creating exceptional percussion equipment gives our students the opportunity to learn and perform on instruments they can be proud of. We are thrilled to welcome these Malletech keyboards into our band family!

If you’re not already a member of the Wildcat Band Booster Club, we would love to have you join us. Whether you can volunteer your time, lend a helping hand, or simply be part of the community supporting our students, your involvement makes a difference.

Our boosters are an important part of the Wildcat Band legacy, and we are always welcoming new members who want to be part of that legacy and help the next generation of Wildcats succeed. 🐾🧡

Thank you to our amazing boosters for always finding ways to support our students, and thank you to Malletech for helping us make beautiful music possible!

We can’t wait to hear what our students do with these new additions! 🎶🥁

WEATHER UPDATE — PLEASE READ!

We are closely monitoring the weather and lightning as we prepare for tonight’s Wildcat Band Community Preview Night and their show, “X.”

The safety of our students is our FIRST priority. We will NOT proceed until we are confident that conditions are safe for our students, staff, and families.

We are currently scheduled to begin at 8:00 PM, but the weather will determine whether we can safely move forward.

Please be patient with us as we continue monitoring the storms and lightning. We will provide an update as soon as a decision is made.

Thank you for your understanding and, most importantly, for helping us put the safety of our Wildcat Band members first.

🔥🎺💦 HOT REHEARSAL. EPIC COOL-DOWN! 💦🎺🔥

Tonight’s rehearsal was HOT, but our community came through BIG TIME! 🙌

HUGE THANK YOU to our amazing firefighters for continuing our annual tradition of hosing down the band after a scorching rehearsal! You all are absolute LEGENDS, and we’re so grateful for the fun, the laughs, and the incredible support you show our kids every year! ❤️

🍧 And a HUGE shoutout to our Booster Club for providing Tiki Hut treats for the kids! A special THANK YOU to Jenny and Gabe Brown for picking everything up and delivering it to the band. Talk about showing up for our kids! 🙌❤️

This is what community is all about — people stepping up, taking care of our kids, and making memories they’ll never forget.

Firefighters + Boosters + Tiki Hut + our amazing band kids = one unforgettable night! 🎶🔥💦🍧

We appreciate every single person who makes moments like this possible. THANK YOU!!! ❤️
