CHS National Art Honor Society! Wednesday, September 9th, is our first Open Studio of the year! This is a time for you to hang out and use our classroom and supplies to work on your art for our upcoming exhibit. Attendance is not mandatory. But it is an opportunity to work together on your exhibit pieces.

🎉Attention CMS 7th + 8th graders
We hope you are all enjoying your •SUMMER• but we are so excited for this new school year!! We can’t wait to see our 7th and 8th graders at Open House on Tuesday, August 18th 💜

🎉Attention CMS 5th + 6th graders
While we still have several SuMmEr☀️days left, we are so excited for the 26-27 school year and wanted to share CMS Open House information!
This year we will have two separate events for our students! With 5th and 6th graders being new to our building, we are having a special event for those students! On Monday, August 17th 5th and 6th graders will be dropped off at CMS front doors for a fun afternoon with their teachers from 1pm-3pm. Students will rotate through stations and get crafty with their teachers as we gear up for an amazing year. At 3:00pm parents/guardians will be welcomed in to tour with your child and see our awesome new spaces! We cannot wait to see our students shine this year and look so forward to meeting them on August 17th!
💜Students only: 1pm-3pm
💛Parents tours: 3pm

Part 2: One of the final projects of the year in our CHS art and design classes is something I call the Legacy Project. It's a time to combine what the students have learned artistically with a time of introspection. What would you want your legacy to be? How do you want to be remembered? Not how you *will* be remembered, but how would you *want* people to remember you? There were so many insightful reflections and really good artwork. These are the ones that stood out to me for one reason or another. 💜
