If your organization is your high school's National Art Honor Society, you don't want your yearbook photo to look like everybody else's. Thanks, Destiny Potter, for the idea to do self-portraits! I love how they and the photo turned out! Great job and year, CHS NAHS! Love you guys!

Last term, iEagle 7th/8th learned about the symbolism and symmetry of mandalas. They drew a half mandala using a template and then added their own symmetrical designs with colors based on a scheme of their choice. Beautiful job, artists!

Today was 3rd/4th iEagle's last day to have art for the year. We didn't have time to add stands, but they finished the fence part of their graffiti fences. Week before last, they learned about graffiti style art and drew their names in graffiti style letters. Last week, they constructed their fence and painted/drew their names on them. Today, they added decorations like small bits of fake greenery and lavender, and moss to give it some textural 3D elements. Very cool, artists!

They're a hot mess, but they've been my hot mess. ❤️ Today was the seniors' last day of classes, so our CHS National Art Honor Society had an end-of-the-year party. It's been a great year of meetings, open studios, art galleries, and museums. I hate to see this group of seniors go, but so excited for where they are going!
