Today, our school community gathered to celebrate and honor our graduating 8th graders at our Farewell Assembly. Students exchanged gifts, shared favorite memories, and offered well wishes for the graduates in high school and beyond.
In an exciting and bittersweet last week of being on the St. Lucy campus as a student, the Farewell Assembly tradition was a special opportunity for our 8th graders to make lasting memories with all students. We’re so proud of the Class of 2026’s leadership and will miss them in the St. Lucy halls every day! ⚡️

Our Lightning sang their hearts out at the Spring Program last night! 🌸🎶 Each class in grades PreK-5 proudly performed Disney-themed songs before our choir wrapped up the evening with their performance from the recent Diocesan Choral Festival. Bravo to all our singers!

From singers and scientists to athletes and artists, our 4th graders brought history to life through their biography projects!
After reading and researching a historic figure of their choice, students created poster boards showcasing what they learned. Practicing their speaking and presenting skills, they then stepped into character by dressing up and presenting about the lives and accomplishments of these inspiring individuals.
We are so proud of their hard work, creativity, and confidence! ⚡️

Our 8th graders recently showcased their growth and leadership in a truly special project.
For many weeks, students reflected on their academic, personal, and spiritual growth during their time at St. Lucy School, as well as their aspirations for high school and beyond. Through a digital portfolio and creative poster board, this capstone project highlighted each student’s ability to reflect thoughtfully, write clearly, and present their ideas in a well-organized and visually appealing way.
The final phase of the project involved professional interviews, challenging students to communicate intentionally both verbally and nonverbally, demonstrate active listening, and express their ideas using structured evidence.
Our 8th graders presented themselves excellently throughout this capstone project, and we are proud to see them become such prepared young adults as they head to high school 🌟

Our Lightning definitely know how to Walk This Way! 👟⚡️ From the first to the final lap, today’s Walk-a-Thon was full of big smiles, St. Lucy spirit, and lots of unforgettable memories together.
Before taking on the track, students joined together in Family Groups to decorate a family crest. With their crests, 8th graders led the day’s first lap, representing their Family Group and taking part in this special St. Lucy tradition.
A very special thank you to everyone who made the Walk-a-Thon a success: PTG for the countless hours of prep and organization, Booster Club for running the “jail,” and the dozens of parent volunteers who helped make today a memorable one for our students 💙💛
We’re so grateful to have reached over 90% of our Walk-a-Thon fundraising goal, thanks to the support of our families, friends, and sponsors! Help us make our final push to the finish line through the link in our bio, open until Monday!

Last week, our school community gathered in faith and prayer for a beautiful May Crowning Mass led by our 2nd graders. With flowers presented and a crown placed on her head, we honored Mary and her love and guidance in our lives 💐
We are incredibly grateful for our 2nd graders for leading this celebration with reverence. It was especially meaningful for many of our students as this was also their first time receiving Holy Communion during a school Mass after recently celebrating their First Holy Communion. We are very proud of the faith-filled example they shared with our community 🌟
