Now that Fall has arrived and leaves are changing color and falling, it is time to clean our guttrrs. Cleaning gutters is important because it prevents water damage to your home by ensuring rainwater flows away from the roof and foundation. Clogged gutters can lead to issues like leaks, mold growth, and structural damage, which can be costly to repair.

Thank you to our awesome Sudbury 3000 Firewise Community Board for hosting our first event. We met more neighbors and were able to provide Firewise information for others to take and establush a Firewise Community in their own neighborhoods. A special shout out to Cameron Park Fire Station 88 for their participation in our event. We have a wonderful community!

Our first Sudbury 3000 Firewise event is coming up on Sunday September 14. It will be held at 3103 Sudbury from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. We hope to have our County Firewise representative there to answer questions. Literature about defensible space will be available as well. Come out and meet your Firewise neighbors and enjoy some treats. Hope to see you there!

As we watch the catastrophic Wildfires burning in Southern California, let us be aware of what we can do to prevent this from happening to our homes. Defensible Space ordinances require 15-30 feet of brush and debris be cleared around our property. Be prepared!!
