The Camdenton R-III School District is proud to announce the appointment of Shawn Maschino as the Principal of Camdenton Middle School, beginning with the 2026-2027 school year.
A lifelong Laker and Camdenton graduate, Mr. Maschino’s journey in education began at Missouri State University, where he earned his Bachelor of Science in Education. He later earned two Master’s degrees in Curriculum and Instruction and Leadership and Administration.
Mr. Maschino started his professional career at Parkway South and Mehlville High Schools before returning to the Lake Area to teach and coach at Eldon. He eventually "came home" to Camdenton, where he served in several teaching and coaching capacities before being named the Assistant Principal at CMS in 2022.
Regarding his new role, Mr. Maschino shared:
"I am honored to lead the Middle School and remain deeply committed to the growth and success of our students. I believe that the quality of student learning is directly tied to the quality of support we provide our teachers. My goal is to build a culture of trust and collaboration, where continuous improvement is driven by high-quality professional development and a shared dedication to student achievement."
Outside of the classroom, Mr. Maschino is a fixture at Laker events, where he enjoys cheering on his sons, Michael (17) and Sam (15), in their various sports and activities. In his free time, he is an avid outdoorsman who enjoys golfing and fishing.
Join us in congratulating Mr. Maschino on his new role!
