Last Friday, Cadets helped kick off our football game with a special Military Appreciation Night honoring the men and women who serve our nation.

Members of the United States Air Force, Army, Navy, and Marine Corps, along with their families, were recognized on the field for their service and sacrifice.

The ceremony brought our Rider community together as Cadets presented the Colors and proudly unfurled a giant American flag across the field, the CRHS band performed the National Anthem, and Allen Frear Elementary fifth graders led the Pledge of Allegiance.

To all of our service members, veterans, and military families: thank you for your service, your sacrifice, and all you do for our nation. And thank you for your strong and enduring partnership with C-R. 🇺🇸

Cadets celebrated a Moral Pajama Day yesterday! They were encouraged to come dressed in their favorite jammies while spreading good morale throughout the unit. It was a great chance to have some fun together and Cadet Corron even caught a “tactical nap” during drill practice! 😂

Our Staff Cadets traveled to Dover AFB to hear retired U.S. Air Force Col. Allison Black—the legendary “Angel of Death”—share her remarkable story of service and leadership.

From courage and resilience to teamwork and leading under pressure, Col. Black gave our cadets a leadership perspective that simply can’t be taught from a textbook.

A huge thank you to Col. Black and Team Dover for investing in the next generation of leaders. Experiences like this are what AFJROTC is all about!

Today, Cadets had the honor of presenting the Colors at the 16th Annual Military & Veterans Mental Health Summit at the DuPont Country Club in Wilmington, Delaware.

For our cadets, opportunities like this are about more than presenting the Colors. They provide a chance to witness firsthand the strength of the military and veteran community and to better understand that service extends far beyond the individual who wears the uniform. Behind every service member and veteran is often a family serving, sacrificing, supporting, and healing alongside them.

We are proud that our cadets could play a small part in an event dedicated to strengthening and supporting those who have given so much in service to our nation. 🇺🇸

Today, Cadets had the solemn privilege of supporting several events commemorating the 25th anniversary of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks and honoring the victims, heroes, first responders, and military members whose lives and service are forever connected to that day.

Our cadets began the day with a flag-folding ceremony for the Caesar Rodney High School community, providing an opportunity for students and staff to pause, reflect, and remember.

Later, they presented the Colors during a 9/11 ceremony at Mission BBQ, where Delawareans gathered in remembrance.

They concluded the day at Caesar Rodney High School’s home football game, where they once again presented the Colors and conducted a pregame flag unfurling in remembrance of September 11.

Twenty-five years later, we remember the lives lost, honor those who ran toward danger to save others, and recognize those who answered the call to serve our nation in the years that followed.

For our cadets—who were born long after September 11, 2001—participating in these ceremonies ensures that the lessons, sacrifices, and legacy of that day are carried forward by the next generation.

We will never forget. 🇺🇸

✈️ Cadets Madison Fellabaum and Noah Sanchez recently participated in the Massey Air Museum’s Grassroots Aviation Engineering summer program, gaining hands-on experience in aerodynamics, aircraft systems, engineering, flight planning, and aviation careers. We are so proud of our cadets for taking on extra challenges and we are incredibly grateful for our outstanding partnership with Massey Air Museum and Massey Aerodrome, whose continued support provides our cadets with exceptional opportunities to take learning beyond the classroom!

🇺🇸 A NIGHT TO REPRESENT ! 🏈

Tonight, Cadets had the incredible opportunity to present the colors for the preseason matchup between the Baltimore Ravens and Philadelphia Eagles at M&T Bank Stadium in Baltimore, Maryland.

Standing on the field in front of thousands of fans, our cadets represented Caesar Rodney High School, AFJROTC, and the values of service, discipline, teamwork, and excellence that define our program.

Presenting the colors is more than a ceremonial responsibility—it is an opportunity to honor our nation and demonstrate the professionalism our cadets have developed through countless hours of training and preparation. 🇺🇸

We are incredibly proud of these cadets for representing with pride, confidence, and professionalism on such a memorable stage!
