Rainy days didn’t keep us from celebrating the year with Vandy residents! ✨
On Thursday, we enjoyed novelty ice cream and popsicles🍦, created scrapbook pages using a mini photo printer 📷, and shared favorite memories from the year! 🎉

Faculty Directors Vinny Manoharan and Michelle Carter recently hosted residents and their families and friends for a golden hour rooftop gathering! A beautiful spring evening to take in the view and each other’s company as the semester winds down. 🌅

This past weekend, GCP hosted a Creative Writing Workshop where residents got to dig deep creatively: we talked about the positive effects of creative writing, wrote with practice prompts, delved into some flash fiction ⚡️, and read about ways we can be stonger writers! ✍️📝

Last weekend, GCP Residents had a wonderful walk through time and spring blooms at Mt Auburn Cemetery, with our fantastic tour guide Corinne and CA Elissa! 🌲🌸🌳

This year’s Community Children’s Closet was our biggest yet! We were able to donate 20 bags of clothing to to support our local community as well as our residents! A huge thank you to our Harvard community (residents, property management, volunteers, faculty directors, and family Program Manager Andrea Normoyle). This event doesn’t happen w/o their involvement and Andrea’s thoughful leadership! ♻️👚🧸🖍️

We had a great time visiting The Museum of Bad Art (MOBA) with Senior CAs Jack and Baoqing! Residents explored the museum, shared thoughts and laughs over the wonderfully unconventional artwork, and wrapped up the evening with good conversation and snacks together. Thanks to everyone who joined us for such a fun and memorable outing!

Last week, Faculty Directors Nancy Hill and Rendall Howell hosted their final Open Mic & Jam Session 🎺🎸 The magic of being fully present for one another through music will stay alive in GCP because of Nancy and Rendall! 💛

Harvard University Press Editors Emily Silk (History, Literary Studies, Religion) and Grigory Tovbis (Economics, Law, Senior Technology) provided valuable insights about the publishing process! We are so grateful for all of the knowledge, experience, and perspective shared!

On Sunday, GCP residents gathered at and spent the morning giving back to planet Earth!🌍
Guided by Ranger Amanda, we learned how to identify and remove invasive garlic mustard! Together, we helped to clean up local park while making space for native plants to thrive! 🌱
