We, as MIT Arab Students of conscience, wholly condemn the MIT administration’s attacks on PhD student Prahlad Iyengar

Banning Prahlad from campus and disrupting his graduate career without due process is not an acceptable response to him exercising his right to free speech. We demand that MIT end its censorship of Prahlad and Written Revolution.

[SUPER IMPORTANT] TLDR: ELECTIONS ARE COMING UP AND WE NEED YOU TO READ AND FILL OUT THE GOOGLE FORM ATTACHED IN OUR LINKTREE

This is likely one of the most important things we will ask the arabs as a community to participate in this semester, please come and participate in our ✨2024-2025 EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE ELECTIONS✨
As you have seen, the role of the Arab Student Organization has evolved, and will continue to evolve, on this campus. The executive committee is a crucial part of ensuring this organization’s events and involvements are positive experiences for the Arabs and offer a good representation of Arab culture to outside observers. This cannot be done without you. Whether you plan on running for office or not, show up and cast your vote for the committee you believe will make the most positive impact.
In order to ensure the maximum amount of people can come, we decided to let you all decide the day and time of the elections. Vote in the above google form on the time(s) that work for you. We will announce the final date and location by Friday, May 10. If you would like to run for a position, or nominate a friend for a position, attached in the google form is a list of open positions.

COME ON ALL ARABSSS

Vote YES for GSU ceasefire resolution! A*O encourages all grad students to vote on this historic resolution calling for a ceasefire in Gaza, and end to MIT labor complicity, and standing in solidarity with student organizers and grad workers who have faced harassment. You can vote anonymously via a secure, personal link in your MIT email. Let’s stand on the right side of history!
