WXGS (Women and Gender Services) is planning our annual signature event of taking MIT community members down to the Boston D**e March.

There will be food, you can make pride posters, stuff your free drawstring backpacks with water bottles, temporary tattoos, flags, snacks, sunblock, etc.

At 5:30 PM everyone will take the Redline down to the Boston Common to enjoy the festivities that start at 6 PM.

We still have lavender cords and keychains with pride charms that you can pick up at the student worker desk in the Rainbow Lounge (50-250). All students have tap access to the space. Come on by to pick one up if you need it!

Happy to be here to celebrate students for FLI Senior Celebration. LBGTQ+ Services and WXGS try to make it to a variety of events. Let us know what you’re celebrating in the future and we’ll try and make it! Congrats to all students!

Getting ready for Pride in June. We’ve purchased over 15 different identity LBGTQIAP+ flags. Here’s a sneak peak at some of them and more coming in all throughout the month. Stop by the Rainbow Lounge in (50-250) at the end of May to see what we have. Don’t see yourself represented? Let us know and we’ll try and get it. Don’t forget to check the back room for mini flags!

Last day for MIT graduates to RSVP to Lavender Graduation if they would like to be acknowledged!!!

>> WHAT DOES THAT MEAN?

* Do you want to be acknowledged in some way at Lavender Graduation (on or off camera)? Name read out loud? A certificate with your name printed on it?

Then RSVP today and tell your friends! LBGTQ+ Services will need time to make sure all graduates who RSVP have the correct information, right spelling on certificates, know how to pronounce your name, etc. which takes time.

Yes. For all faculty and staff and friends you can RSVP right up until the day, this is especially important if you want the Zoom link. For students supporting students you can still RSVP after the date. For graduating students who don't want to be part of the celebration but still want to attend you can still show up.

>> WHAT IF I'M GRADUATING AND WANT TO BE A PART OF THE CELEBRATION BUT MISSED THE DEADLINE?

Email us. There can be case-by-case exceptions to still be added, but you may have to get your certificate after May 1st depending on when you RSVP.

>> WHEN IS LAVENDER GRADUATION?

Friday, May 1st at 4:30 PM in the MIT Welcome Center (E38). All are welcome to attend and all graduating students are welcome to RSVP to be celebrated.

Join LBGTQ+ Services for the 2026 hybrid Lavender Graduation on Friday, May 1st at 4:30 pm US Eastern Time to celebrate our LBGTQ+ and ally MIT undergraduate and graduate students who have graduated or will be graduating in 2026 and the wonderful things they've accomplished.⁠

This event is in collaboration with and hosted by our friends at Alumnx Pride and the MIT Alumni Association and will be hybrid, all are welcome. More details about the information in the RSVP link, graduates must RSVP to participate.⁠
