The Michael Babb Foundation is awarding a first or second-year teacher with a $250 grant to enhance their classroom materials and experience. Inspired by AFT. Dr. Ronald White, a college professor with more than 20 years of developing the lives of students and teachers around the world. First or Second-year teachers (K-12) are eligible to apply and receive this grant.

How To Apply:

Send a video to [email protected], no more than 5 minutes that describes:
- who you are.
- what you teach (Content or grade level).
- where you teach (city, state)
- why you choose to become a teacher
- what will this grant opportunity help you accomplish in the upcoming school year

The deadline to apply is June 30, 2020. The winner will receive notice via email by July 30, 2020. Good luck!

The Michael Babb Foundation is awarding its first book scholarship. Funded by the Fall 2007 Pi Gamma brothers of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc., The "GIFT SCHOLARSHIP" is eligible to one male student enrolled at Norfolk State University Student. The scholarship will be awarded to one male student enrolled at Norfolk State University.

- your aspirations.
- your desired or current field of study.
- why we should select you for this scholarship.

On September 23, 2017, The Michael Babb Foundation was launched with its first scholarship breakfast to acknowledge its board members, honor its scholarship-namesakes, speak on its initiatives and highlight students impacted by the organization who are currently enrolled at Norfolk State University.

The mission of The Michael Babb Foundation is to give college scholarships and experience tours along with offering mentorship programs to minority students from New York and Virginia. Each year, The Foundation will award scholarships to both male and female students who are interested or enrolled within the STEM and Education field.
