Our PSGB learners had an incredible opportunity last week as Citizens hosted a virtual career panel and networking session!

Panelists Steve Garcia, AJ Hazard, Rene Fontaine, Guarav Jain, and John Hennigan shared thoughtful insights, career advice, and real-world wisdom that left our learners inspired and motivated.

We’re also grateful to the additional members of the Citizens team who joined and supported the conversation. Partnerships like this help open doors and move careers forward ⭐️

Yesterday we had the honor of celebrating our RTT alumni at a special pinning ceremony!

This was an opportunity for our remote friends to receive recognition for their hard work, dedication, and discipline in a meaningful way. Each pin represents the countless hours of learning, resilience through challenges, and commitment to building a brighter future.

To our incredible alumni: we’re proud to have you as part of the Per Scholas community and can’t wait to see where your journey takes you next👏

Last week was a powerful reminder of why this work matters.

Grateful to have attended an incredible event at Citizens House of Blues Boston, where we celebrated the premiere of Many Roads Forward—a Roadtrip Nation film featuring our very own Per Scholas Greater Boston alum, Ronnie Cobb. 🙌

Seeing Ronnie’s journey on screen was inspiring, and a true testament to the impact of opportunity, resilience, and community. The evening was made even more meaningful with a thought-provoking panel featuring leaders like our CEO, Plinio Ayala, who spoke candidly about today’s workforce challenges and the path forward.

Moments like these reinforce the mission—opening doors, changing lives, and building pathways to careers in tech. 💻🚀

We had the pleasure of welcoming students from joined by Michelle Goldberg, Senior Director of Program Partnerships. It was an awesome opportunity to strengthen our partnership and introduce learners to Per Scholas as a potential pathway for their future.

From a hands-on break/fix activity to a 20-minute presentation, the students showed up curious, collaborative, and creative—leaning on each other, asking great questions, and really engaging with our PSGB staff. It was fun to watch their personalities shine as they explored STEAM, problem-solving, and teamwork in action.

The Possible Zone is all about helping Boston high school students spark their passions, build durable skills, and grow an entrepreneurial mindset—and it was clear these young people are already well on their way.

Last week, our Cybersecurity cohort had the incredible opportunity to visit Akamai’s headquarters in Cambridge! From the massive Network Operations Command Center (NOCC) to the Security Operations Command Center (SOCC), learners saw how global internet is monitored and cyber threats are stopped💪

Huge thanks to Juan and Nicole for an incredible tour and for showing our learners what enterprise-level cybersecurity and cloud computing look like at scale. Experiences like this turn classroom learning into real-world impact 🌎
