MISSION STATEMENT:

The Progressive Jewish Alliance at Harvard Law School is the home for Jewish students on campus committed to actively pursuing dignity, equality, and justice for all peoples.

We believe our liberation as Jews is bound up with the liberation of all marginalized groups including women, the LGBTQ community, people of color, indigenous peoples, religious minorities, persons with disabilities, refugees, and others. We affirm our Jewish identity by joining in the struggle to stand for love of the Other, stand against all forms of discrimination, and stand with our allies on campus and beyond.

We are vocal in our support for the human rights, safety, and security of Jews and Palestinians. We are dedicated to working toward an end to the Israeli occupation of the Palestinian territories.

We are passionate about cultivating an inclusive community that shares these values yet recognizes the diversity of opinion and identity among progressive Jews. We do not always have to agree. As a result, we devote ourselves to radical empathy, inquiry, and self-reflection.
