The 2013 Harvard Leadership Conference: Collaboration Across Cultures, intends to be both a physi
cal and virtual environmental space in which the Harvard Graduate community, encompassing all 12 Harvard Graduate Schools, will be exposed to and actively engage in the foundations and practice of collaborative leadership skills. The conference emphasizes three keys areas: Skills, Studios, and Speakers. The 2013 Harvard Leadership Conference is a participatory, active and engaging conference. The Conference Organizing Committee is utilizing technology, the Internet and the concept of spaces to create an arena in which the experience of collaboration can be maximized for conference participants. Everything from the flow of conference participants in the physical space, to how to connect participants in the virtual space, to the topic areas for participants to discuss in the intellectual space, has been considered. It is our hope that through this conference, participants can realize the importance of collaboration in leadership and the conference itself can be a stepping stone in providing a foundation of skill sets and thoughts which lead to meaningful change.
