The Argentine Society is a Harvard Kennedy School (HKS) student organization composed of students, professors, researchers and alumni of HKS. Its main purpose is to promote the engagement of Argentina with the HKS community, in order to generate knowledge and prompt actions to achieve social, economic and political impact in Argentina. On Sunday we meet with Karina Banfi (national congresswomen for Buenos Aires Province and president of the Network Women in Parliament in the Americas). We had an intimate discussion about technology and social media policies, access to information, corruption and the coming 2019 elections. We also learnt about the National Congress' dynamics. Thanks Karina for such an interesting conversation!

On Friday, we met Mercedes D’Alessandro (PhD in Economics and co-founder of the group Economía Femini(s)ta) to discuss gender gaps in the labor market, her book Economía Feminista, the comparative feminist agenda in Argentina and USA, and the role of information and communication.
