The LSA aims to connect the student body, to create opportunities to perform, and to build a sense of collaboration and community. We also serve as a bridge to the administration, voicing student concerns and ideas that will enhance the student experience at Longy.

Our partner Alabama State University invites Longy students to a fabulous virtual concert tonight, featuring performances of African-American Art Songs and Spirituals by the vocal area students.
The concert will be live-streamed on ASU's department facebook/instagram pages, and will also feature some special introductions and perspectives on the repertoire/composers.

The newly minted Asian Student Alliance successfully held a safe Lunar New Year event last Friday in the form of bento boxes to go!

Dive in to this original arrangement of the classic Mexican Folk Song "La Llorona".
There are multiple interpretations of both the song itself and the lore behind it, but due to its sad tones, it is not considered a love song.
La Llorona is frequently performed in Día de Mu***os celebrations and was referenced heavily in Disney's Coco.
This project was entirely student conceptualized and realized. Longy Latinx students arranged, performed, shot and edited this project; recording at Chillhouse Studios in Charlestown, MA.
