Save the date: Green New Deal public forum on 9/15, 6:30-8:30 pm!
Student presence at city council hearings can be incredibly influential, especially given that the Green New Deal amendment being discussed at this forum impacts property owned by MIT! No prior knowledge/experience necessary - if you complete the bit.ly form we will follow up on what to expect and talking points if you wish to speak up. The more, the better!✊🌍🌎🌏
There will be more hearings coming up, the most important one in October (TBA) where city councilmembers will be there and voting may begin. Follow us for updates!

Did you know that there is a Green New Deal for Cambridge that will be voted on in October? Feeling hopeless about the climate crisis? There's no time for that - step outside of MIT and get involved in the city around you! Student presence at committee meetings can greatly influence Cambridge city councilmember decisions. You don't need to be an expert at all. Public forums and hearings will be happening very soon, so follow us + go to the link in our bio to fill out a contact form to be updated!
