Clarke came to camp already scribbling songs in a notebook. She left with "We Are All The Same" — a whole ocean of creatures looking out for each other, written, polished, and recorded in five mornings. Sea turtles, jellyfish, a deer and her dog — all just one big family.

Songwriting Camp 2026 is a wrap. 🎶

Five mornings. A pile of "terrible first drafts" (it says so on the shirts). And by Friday — real, finished, recorded songs, written entirely by kids, played for a room full of families.

These songs did not exist on Monday. We'll be sharing them here over the next few weeks — trust us, you want to hear what these songwriters made.

Your kids wrote real songs at camp (plus a drummer you should meet) -

We marched in a parade, met a lot of you at our Camas Days booth, and then turned right around and spent the last week of July watching kids write their very first original songs at Songwriting Camp — and share them with their families at Friday's showcase. Somewhere in there, two brand-new lesson...

Day 3 of Songwriting Camp: the day the songs found their chords. 🎶

Monday these songs were scribbles in a journal. Tuesday they got melodies. Today, Jamie showed our songwriters how chords carry the feeling of a song — and suddenly those melodies had somewhere to live. Circle of fifths on paper, guitars and keys in hand, and more than one "WAIT, that sounds like a real song" moment.

Friday, they play them for their families. We can't wait.

P.S. Yes, that's a star sticker on one songwriter's face. It was earned.

What a day! 🎸☀️🎉

A huge thank-you to everyone who marched with us, stopped by our booth, grabbed some candy and guitar picks, and helped make Camas Days such a blast. Seeing our students, families, teachers, and friends out there together is exactly what Perfect Harmony is all about.

Music, community, a whole lot of blue shirts—and only a little chaos. 😂

We’re incredibly grateful to be part of this community and proud of every kid who walked that parade route with us. This is what community sounds like. 💙🤘
