My littlest 4 year old student graduated from his first book today! I am so proud of this little guy...he started lessons at 3&1/2...the youngest I have ever taught. He is so exceptional and so happy for him! Oh, the places you'll go! 🎶

Just wanted to share a story with you of little M 🎶

M is a student of mine who is turning 7 this week. She has only been taking lessons a few weeks. Last lesson, she picked out "Nothing but the blood" completely by ear on the black keys after hearing it at school!

It is so amazing to see the talent of some of my students with playing by ear! I love incorporating ear training and composing and improvising into my piano lessons, alongside sight-reading and classical theory.

Join us for kids songs of thankfulness and stories of fall. Parents and kids of any age welcomed. Bethany Young, mama, composer, & piano teacher will be hosting the sing-a-long at Valle Lindo Park on Friday, November 17th at 10:30am. It will be a half hour of sign-language, songs, and stories about gratefulness! Save the date and invite your friends!
