This rich and comforting one-pot beef and rice dish is packed with tender beef, sweet carrots, caramelized onions, and aromatic garlic. It's a family-friendly meal that's both satisfying and easy to make.
Ingredients
14 oz (400 g) beef stew meat, cubed
1 large onion, diced
2 carrots, julienned or grated
2 cups long-grain rice, rinsed and soaked
1 tbsp butter
Salt and black pepper, to taste
1 whole head of garlic
3 cups hot water
1 tbsp cooking oil
Instructions
1. Heat a little oil in a large pot or Dutch oven over medium-high heat.
2. Add the beef and cook until browned. Once the meat releases its juices, continue cooking until most of the liquid evaporates.
3. Add about ΒΌ cup water and continue cooking until the beef becomes tender and the liquid is absorbed.
4. Stir in the onions and carrots. Cook until softened and lightly caramelized.
5. Drain the soaked rice and spread it evenly over the meat mixture. Gently press it down without stirring.
6. Place the whole head of garlic in the center of the pot.
7. Dot the top with small pieces of butter.
8. Using the handle of a wooden spoon, make several holes through the rice layer.
9. Season with salt and black pepper, then carefully pour the hot water over the rice.
10. Cover with a lid and cook on low heat until the rice is tender and has absorbed all the liquid.
11. Remove from heat and let rest for 10β15 minutes.
12. Invert onto a serving platter or gently fluff and serve.

1 teaspoon salt

Preparation:
Score the chicken wings with a few cuts. For the marinade, mix all the ingredients listed above. Pour the sauce over the wings and coat them thoroughly.
Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours.
Place the marinated wings on a baking tray and bake in a preheated oven at 200Β°C (392Β°F) until they are beautifully browned and caramelized.

7. Return the soup to the pot and add the noodles. If needed, add a little extra hot water to reach your desired consistency.
8. Cook until the noodles are tender.
9. Stir in the chopped parsley and simmer for another 2β3 minutes.
