Big Update! 🎵
After two wonderful years at Calera High School, I am incredibly excited and honored to share that I have been selected as the new Choral Director at Thompson High School!
My time at Calera has been truly special, and I am so grateful for the incredible colleagues, administrators, and students who made these past two years unforgettable. It has been a privilege to direct both the Choir and Theatre programs, and I will always look back on this chapter with gratitude.
As I begin this new journey, I am excited to focus on all things choral music at Thompson High School. While I can't wait for what's ahead, leaving my Calera students is by far the hardest part. You have challenged me, inspired me, and helped me grow into a better teacher than I ever imagined. I hope you know how proud I am of each of you. You will always hold a special place in my heart.
Here's to new beginnings—and thank you, Calera, for an unforgettable two years.

On Wednesday, the Calera High School Chamber Choir was thrilled to welcome Dr. Philip Copeland, Director of Choral Activities at Samford University, to our class! 🎶

Dr. Copeland led an inspiring and insightful rehearsal as we continue preparing for State Choral Performance Assessment next week.

We are so grateful for the opportunity to learn from such an incredible musician and educator!
