Summers are a treasure with these James (L) and Teddy (R).

They are even more fun when we all get into a craft or activity, and these crate kits have been bringing the joy for years!

As someone who is not naturally crafty, it’s great to have the structure and supplies for several crafts with extra ideas in the instruction to extend the fun with additional DIY steps.

It’s totally worth it for the joy and lack of decision-making or additional demands on my creative energy at the end of a long work day when my patience is thinner and I just want to connect with my boys and see their imaginations fire up a bunch ideas and smiles.

I find that the parents of my students want the same out of college application season—they want their children to do the work with a sense of imaginative and wonder that leads to connection and sharing. They’d like to let go of the nagging and have someone else handle the structure and reminders so they can delight in the discovery of it all together.

They want to fill the time they have left before their kids leave for college with treasured memories—not tons of tension.

That’s where I come in.

And I’ve got a fabulous crew of partners I work with to make sure I help each family strategize and curate a custom approach uniquely tailored to their student—designed to help them get into their best-fit, top quality college without sacrificing their financial plans in the process.

Last week, I led a webinar called College Funding Demystified with of Due Financial on how and why early college financial planning (yes, even if your kid is starting 8th or 9th grade!) can help you save more on top colleges and plenty of info for parents and student entering 12th grade in the fall as well.

I love working with my teens on mining for and crafting their authentic stories.

It’s about more than getting to college.

It’s about the calm and clarity that comes from tapping into who they are at their core—and for many of them, it’s the first time they’ve done so.

I love serving on the board because it’s committed to providing students with heathy outlets of expression and creativity.

So do us and yourself a solid: stop the scroll and donate a 💵 or two to our programs—and then go do something for YOUR mental health!

Thank you 🥰

I love coming to Tucson every spring to work with the motivated students from South Tucson and the fabulous staff Lapan College & Career Clubhouse!

Dedicated to empowerment and increased access to growth and success for youth in its community, the Lapan Foundation () underwrites a variety of incredible afterschool programs, peer mentoring, and college prep for its clubhouse students, incentivizing them with scholarship money for high grades and consistent citizenship and leadership.

I love witnessing students harness the power of storytelling over the 3.5 days we spend to write the futures they want see for themselves, and in some cases, re-write the meaning of past obstacles they’ve overcome and find beautiful patterns between different pieces of their lives.

No matter what this current political administration tells colleges about what they can or can’t look at to evaluate a student for admission, I will never stop advocating for students to tell their most authentic stories to reveal the strength of their character in personal statements and for equity in college admissions. 💪

For a joyful and streamlined college application season, it takes a little more TIME and a methodical approach to craft NOT just a quality essay, but an entire application you’re proud of.

You’ll want time for active writing AND reflection to capture the sides of your character that best represent what you and an admissions officer will stand by and defend as the perfect addition to your best-fit campus.

Now don’t get it twisted—I’m not saying all is lost and you’re doomed if you don’t start your essays until late summer or fall.

I am saying that if you like more easy and joy in your process, you’ll want to start sooner than later — and I can help you do that and get your apps done and dusted well before those stressy deadlines.

It starts May 19, so DM me FLOWERS🌸 if you’re ready to pop open and bloom into the next phase of your life.
