Today, our students got to meet and interact with our new Tortoise, Sheldon! Instead of simply learning about tortoises from a book or on a screen, they had the opportunity to experience one right in front of them. They were able to observe how he moves, gently touch his shell, ask questions, and enjoy watching him explore his new home here at our school.

These are the moments that make learning so special—getting outside, getting hands-on, asking questions, and discovering the world around us. We’re so excited for all the memories and learning opportunities Sheldon will bring to our school! 🐢❤️🌱

Textbook learning is important, but so is learning the skills you’ll use in everyday life!

And what better way to learn than by baking homemade cookies? 🍪🤎

At OFMS, we love combining strong academics with hands-on experiences that help our students grow into confident, capable adults—one life skill at a time!

Today, we remember the lives lost on September 11, 2001, and honor the brave first responders who sacrificed so much. 🇺🇸

We thank God for our freedoms, for those who protect them, and for the blessing of living in the greatest nation in the world.

We will never forget. ❤️🤍💙

Our first week of school is officially in the books! It was a great week of learning, having fun, settling into new routines, and making new friendships. We’re so thankful for a great start to the year and for the opportunity to keep Jesus at the center of it all. We’re excited to see what the rest of the year has in store! 🍎✏️📚

Open House was a success!! Truly truly TRULY thankful for everyone who showed up and contributed and helped us pull this off for our amazing students and their families.

Special thanks to Pastor James Bennett of New Life Church in Cabot for praying over our school year and Shiver Shack Shaved Ice and More for the snow cones and snacks! 🍧😋

We are so blessed to have so many special kids and families who were willing to step out in faith with us this year. God is good! 🙌🏼

6 days until the first day of school! We can’t wait! 🎉

We’re excited to announce that Ohana Farms Microschool is planning a Fall Mum Fundraiser for the month of September! 🌼

Before we place our order, we’d love to gauge interest within the community. These will be large, beautiful fall mums in multiple colors including tri-color—perfect for your porch, flower beds, or as gifts! If you think you’d be interested in purchasing some, please leave us a comment below with how many you would consider buying.
This isn’t a commitment to purchase—it just helps us plan our order so we don’t end up with too many or too few.

Every mum purchased helps provide hands-on learning experiences, life skills opportunities, and enriching extracurricular activities for our students. Thank you for helping our children bloom! We can’t wait to bring some beautiful fall color to our community while raising funds for our students. ❤️🍁

At OFMS, the safety and well-being of every child entrusted to us will always come first. That’s why we’re proud to share that every staff member in our building is Lifesaver Certified and trained in First Aid.

Our school nurse is also BLS (Basic Life Support) certified, First Aid trained, and brings four years of experience as a trauma nurse in the Emergency Room.

While we pray emergencies never occur, we believe in being proactive rather than reactive. We’ve intentionally equipped our team with the knowledge and training needed to respond quickly, calmly, and effectively.

We would also like to give a big thank you to Lyndsey Rich for educating our team so well. We appreciate you and all that you do!

Swipe to the end to see the tiniest member of the OFMS medical team 😆

Playground equipment arrived today, and the Ohana Farm guys are checking it off piece by piece. One thing about Gramps: when the clipboard and glasses come out, you know he means business. Nothing gets past this fella! We can’t wait for you to see the finished product. The kiddos are going to love it!
