🍎 Chronic absenteeism is defined as missing 10% of the school year (or 18 days, which averages only 1.8 days per month).

🍎 Students with chronic absenteeism are more likely to have trouble reading by third grade, have more difficulty achieving in middle school, and are less likely to finish high school.
