At least that's what I thought I wanted, but now seeing the crisis of fast fashion, I think I just want to create things for myself and not for others because I don't want to contribute to the environmental crisis.

Ohhhhh! I am so excited to announce this pay-what-you want package for Beginner Freelancers! I had multiple people come to me throughout my years on how to get started in Freelancing and have asked for help in Project Briefs, Contracts, Invoices and I finally managed to make templates for you!

This is just the first step and look forward for more help within the first steps of Beginner Freelance. I know I am not the only person who has went through this and I know there are many templates out there for you to use, but I hope I can help someone get more organized when it comes to starting out as Freelancing.

I will share my stories on what I had to learn, what to watch out for, what you can do in a certain situation and what to takeaway from a bad situation and money!! That has yet to come. Keep an eye out for that!

So way back when I was in college, I loved working with Hurley when I was in one of my Studio Classes at Laguna College of Art and Design and I loved every minute of it.

Well it has been like 5 years since I did my "Save the Reefs" apparel line so I wanted to rework it and add more awareness to the creatures living in coral reef rather than just the coral. Also include a women's line and add more what coral reefs can look like if we cleaned our oceans.

When I graduated College, I didn’t know how I can get real life experience. Heck I didn’t get a job until a year later. It was rough because COVID-19 started and people just couldn’t work so I turned to something that has always helped: non profits.

Ruby4Good: found them through a company and really helped me with my unemployment at the time. I worked on one of their biggest projects at the time and it really helped me gain confidence in my skills.

Tech Fleet: I actually never used them but I know quite a lot who have and they have landed jobs or freelance positions. They are a great organization to really help get your feet wet. They use agile systems in their projects.

Dubstech: They are student led, they have annual workshops, panels and hackathons. I joined one of their hackathons awhile back and managed the team through the process.

Catchafire: this place holds something special in my heart. I have gotten a lot of my clients through here and I have gotten so much experience and portfolio pieces from here. It’s probably one of the best places to go if you are new to the industry.

B Corporation: this was introduced to me to another freelancer/agency. This is a bit tad more advanced when it comes to reaching out to people because it’s a lot of confidence in yourself, cover letters and cold emailing. But I found a lot of success in this website.
