I would like congratulate the Drone Team 2008B for qualifying for the 2026 South Central Aerial Drone Championship, which consists of teams from Texas, Oklahoma, New Mexico, Arkansas, Missouri, Louisiana and Kansas. Members of this team include: Caysen Salvador, Chloe Loya-Hiner, Kayden Schofield and Kendall Ash.
In the competition on Saturday, these students competed against 37 other teams. They placed 15th in the Qualifying Rounds with an average score of 171.20, 6th overall in the tournament with a score of 183, 1st in the autonomous programming in skills with a score of 150 and won the Coding Award.

Today 2008B Drone team: Kayden, Kendall and Caysen went to the Iowa Park Drone competition. They placed 2nd overall and only missed 1st place by one point. They placed 8th in skills and 7th in qualification matches and was the Communications Mission Champion. The competition today was the first drone competition that any of these students have attended. Saturday the robotics teams competed at the Rumble in the Falls Robotics competition. Burkburnett High had 6 teams compete. There were 29 high school teams there. 2 teams (42368C and 42368G) made the quarterfinals. 2 teams (42368A and 42368E) made the semifinals. 2 teams (42368B and 42368D) made the finals.
Teams 42368B & 42368D won the championship. Team 42368B won the Skills Championship. Team 42368A won the Judges Award. Team 42368E won the Design Award. Burkburnett ISD Burkburnett High School - CTE Burkburnett High School
