Something I have started to dig more into this year since all my current issues is GUT HEALTH -- you know, our "second brain".

What I personally never knew for so long is just how much your gut health can impact your OVERALL HEALTH. Not just that, but in recent surveys, it has shown that up to 70% of people could be dealing with gut issues without even knowing it!

Today, I want to share some recent things I have learned about gut health that blew my mind!

• YOUR MICROBIOME IS KEY: your microbiome is basically the good and bad bacteria that are largely located in our gut. If there is an imbalance in this microbiome, it can cause many health issues.

• YOUR IMMUNE SYSTEM LIVES IN YOUR GUT: Did you know that your gut and microbiome are closely linked to your immune system? A healthy, diverse microbiome supports a strong immune system which in turn keeps you healthy every month of the year from sickness.

• THE BRAIN-GUT CONNECTION: The state of your gut has also been strongly linked to the brain! If your gut is not healthy, this can not only cause stomach issues but it can affect your mental state - from brain fog to fatigue to memory issues. There are many brain-related symptoms that can pop up when your gut is not healthy.

It’s been a year, if not longer when I started feeling off—for me to go to a Dr. you know it’s bad….AND for me to take any type of meds you know it’s really bad!
It started with one prescription and a “your perfectly healthy nothing is wrong” to finally going to a gastro Dr. writing me several more prescriptions also telling me nothing is wrong, “it’s just your body changing”...”you are getting older”🖕🏼….”but we’ll do another scope in July🚫” These prescriptions I was given were pure HELL and did nothing to fix my issue!
Any of this sound familiar???

It’s an awful feeling when your gut is out of wack and things aren’t working like they should be.

WELL, this month, I will be hosting a FIRST EVER Gut Health Virtual Bootcamp with our NEW gut health nutrition program & low impact workouts. I know for a fact I’m not the only one out there!

V-ackers and Un-V-ackers….not at all posting this for “the great debate”…just posting because this is something that needs addressed too. I feel this issue has been lost in current conversations.

Years ago my world was flipped upside down when I lost my dad to cancer…BUT losing him opened my eyes to what many things

First off…What you eat has a dramatic effect on your immune system.

If you want to boost your immunity, start with your plate.

Pass on the McDonald's, Burger King, sugar filled Starbucks drinks and the beloved Chick-Fil-A, processed foods…do this instead…👇🏼👇🏼👇🏼👇🏼

Eat more vegetables, fruits, lean proteins, foods that are high in omega-3’s which are great for your gut health - which is the key to a strong immune system.

Secondly…move your body! Go for a walk, run or workout of choice…just something to get your heart rate up and work your lungs. We all have 24 hrs in a day and I can guarantee you can find 30-60 minutes to do something.

There is so much going on in the world right now. Most days I have a hard time processing it all…tons of pressure, new info daily and a whole heck of a lot of heated debates taking place. There’s a lot out of our control, but there are some things that are in our control…it’s just up to YOU.
