Sad day for all the kids in Georgia. The Senate never called HB 1023 to the floor for a vote and ended the session this year. Words can’t express my utter disappointment and disbelief that the Senate doesn’t value the importance of ending school shootings.

Call your representatives.

Cobb County Leadership at both the House and local levels have been the biggest opponents against HB1023 citing how complex they believe it will be to implement in their sprawling campuses. If you live in Cobb, we strongly urge you to reach out to your House and Senate leaders. They are not security professionals. They cannot make the decisions for you.
