International Community Garden at BPS International School

The International School 45 celebrated the Big Apple Crunch this week with local Farm2School apples! They were excited for Empire State apples grown locally. Special thanks to our District Nutrition Team for helping to get fresh local food to our city’s youth!

Come plant with us on Thursday from 4:30 to 6:30 pm. We will plant seedlings from and classrooms and ride the smoothie bike! The Environmental Socical Justice Stewards from will be with us planting native pollinators in our expanded raised beds.

Our earth day clean up and raised bed expansion rocked today! We helped our earth and community by expanding our garden and picking up plastic and waste that eventually could contaminate our water ways! Reinstein Woods Nature Preserve Thank you Environmental Social Justice Stewards for helping save our watershed and planet!!

Please help support our school and students! Our old rotted picnic tables had to be thrown out in our courtyard and garden area! We are trying to replace them with heavy-duty metal ones. Even though the project says 3-5 th grade, all students at our school, PreK-8th grade, will be using them.We have 2 courtyards, so 2 picnic tables will be placed in each courtyard! Your donation is greatly appreciated.
