Providing access and education for future biking generations. The Buena Vista Bike Library is a public resource consisting of over 20 bikes and helmets with the goal of getting more children biking to a from school in a safe manner. The bikes are for kids K-5 and we have a few larger bikes available for parents that may want to join in on the fun with their children. You come and check out the bik

e and we spend some time getting you up to speed on some safety concerns and we go over local routes and paths to travel safely around town. With the goal of getting more kids riding backs to and from school. The program is a collaboration of Bike Colorado, BV Rec, Avery Parsons Elementary, and Safe Routes to School. It is free of charge and is open almost year round ( depending on weather ) We look forward to seeing and riding with you soon.

Thank you so much for registering for the first annual Neighborhood Clean-Up Day, this Sunday, April 25th, at 1 pm. Below are a couple of FAQs that have come up this week:

1. Please check in at our event headquarters at E Main St and S Railroad St before beginning to clean up. Check-in will begin at 1:00pm.
2. If you registered before the registration deadline, we will have a t-shirt for you at check-in. If you registered after the deadline, please visit the check-in area after 2:30pm to receive a t-shirt. We should have extras, but sizes are not guaranteed.
3. All participants must sign a waiver before the event. If you registered online, your waiver is completed.
3. Drop-in registrations will be accepted.
4. Please bring work gloves if you have them. We will have some disposable gloves for those in need.
5. We will both start and end downtown at E Main St and S Railroad St (across from the BV Splash Park.)
6. We will have a large dumpster for folks to deposit their trash bags at our registration area.
7. If you would prefer to focus on an area around your house or have a specific area of interest, that is great. We have set up 4 additional drop-off points. Please only bring bagged trash to these locations from 1:00-3:00 pm on Sunday. The Town will pick up from these zones at 3:00 pm on Sunday.

Hello APES kids and families. We are excited to remind everyone that the BV Bike Library is growing and now has a new co-coordinator for the remainder of the school year. We welcome Earl Richmond to the team. He will be available for educational opportunities and tours the entire school year, weather and riding conditions permitting. Please take a few minutes to get up to speed and read the information below. Mr Bott of APES is another great resource at the school to learn more about the Bike Library. So you now have multiple people to help you and your family learn more about safe bike riding in our town. Enjoy
