Failure to progress” in one labor does not mean your body is incapable of a VBAC. 👏
Labor isn’t a test your body either passes or fails. And your next birth isn’t doomed to follow the same path as your last.
So much can change from one birth to the next:
✨ Baby’s position
✨ Freedom to move
✨ Continuous doula support
✨ Your birth environment
✨ How interventions are used
✨ A provider who is willing to WAIT and support physiologic labor
A previous labor that stalled tells us what happened that day, with that baby, in those circumstances. It does not tell us what your body will do next time.
Around here, we’re team never say never. 💪
