✨ WE MADE IT THROUGH OUR FIRST FULL WEEK! ✨

And what a week it was at Bryant Junior High! 💙🐝 Our teachers and students jumped right in with learning, teamwork, creativity, and LOTS of fun!

📍 Mr. Jackson’s class explored the different geographical regions of Arkansas and learned fun facts about each one! 🗺️ Arkansas pride! ❤️

📚 Ms. Holcer’s English class kicked things off with bellringers and even made some awesome bookmarks! 📖✨

🔎 Ms. Houge’s English class put teamwork to the test with a clue-solving mystery game! Students first learned more about their own personalities and how they work best in groups, then used that information to crack the case, with actual BJHS staff members as the suspects! 👀🕵️‍♀️

😂 Ms. Earl’s English class brought some laughs with a little classroom fun and WIGS! 🎭💇‍♀️

🇪🇸 Mrs. Maitland’s Spanish class got creative with a fun activity where students drew their own faces! 🎨

🌎💧 Mrs. Kordsmeier’s science class investigated the unique properties of water and how they make life on Earth possible!

From Arkansas geography to mysteries, bookmarks, personality tests, Spanish art, water science, and a few fabulous wigs… our Hornets definitely know how to make learning FUN! 🐝💙

Here’s to an AMAZING first full week and many, MANY more to come! 🎉 We’re off to a great start, Hornets! 💙🤍

Dear 8th Grade Parents/Guardians,

As part of our school health program, we will be conducting BMI (Body Mass Index) screenings for all 8th grade students on September 8, 2026.

The screening is a routine health assessment and will be conducted privately and respectfully by school health personnel.

If you do not want your child to participate in the BMI screening, please send an email to [email protected] or [email protected] by September 4, 2026, stating your child’s name and that you are requesting that they not participate.

☀️ HOT WEATHER REMINDER 💧
With excessive heat and temperatures expected to reach 100°F+ this week, please encourage your student to bring a water bottle to help them stay hydrated during the bus ride home.

Our transportation team will work hard to get students home and off buses as quickly as possible while never compromising safety.

Thank you for your patience and understanding as we prioritize the safety and well-being of our students and drivers during these extremely hot days.

There is NO tired like teacher tired! 😂🍎💙

But WOW… what a FIRST DAY at Bryant Junior High! 🎉🐝 The first day of school was an overwhelming SUCCESS, and we could not be more proud of our incredible teachers and staff! They work tirelessly, love our students BIG, and give their all every single day to make BJHS the absolute BEST place to be! 💙

Teachers deserve the WORLD… but since we can’t quite give them that, buy them a coffee! ☕😂 Trust us, they’ve earned it!

Here’s to an AMAZING school year, lots of learning, lots of laughs, and LOTS of coffee! 🥳☕📚

Our Bryant Junior High teachers are back—and more ready than ever to take on a BRAND NEW school year! 🎉📚

We kicked things off with a fun picture & video scavenger hunt, getting pumped up as we explored the school, worked with our colleagues, and captured all the things that make BJHS so special! 📸🎥✨

We are SO excited for school to start TOMORROW, and we just know it’s going to be the BEST YEAR EVER! 🙌💙

So get pumped! 🎒 Pack those bags, lay out that first-day outfit, set those alarms, and get ready to bring your BEST tomorrow!

As we get ready to welcome our students back, District Security Coordinator Chad Winkler has an important reminder for everyone sharing the road with our school buses.

When a bus is stopped with its stop arm extended and red lights flashing, please stop and give our students the time and space they need to safely get on and off the bus.

A little patience and extra attention can make a big difference in keeping our students safe. Let’s work together to make sure every Hornet gets to and from school safely!
