The first meeting of the year will be this week, on Thursday, September 15th! It will be held after school in Mr. Squires' Room, 3104. We will be going over the fundamentals of Jiu Jitsu, all are welcome!!

Hey guys, I hope everyone has enjoyed their summer so far! Before I leave for college, I would like to thank everyone again for their hard work in making this club what it is. It’s amazing to look back on it, seeing how just an idea can become reality. From enduring an entire year of no contact, to becoming a full contact club, recruiting people of all types, training with some of the best guest speakers, and making a real difference in the community.

Just some of what we’ve accomplished:
- Amazing Homecoming float (Jaw Jitsu!)
- $500 donation to Glynn Community Crisis Center
- Successful Black History Month booth
- One of the most diverse clubs on campus
- Some of the greatest turnouts and member participation rates of any club
- Over 40 members
- Brought some of the best BJJ instructors in, including Devine Jiu - Jitsu founder Scott Devine
- Raised over $1,000 in chocolate sales, self-funding our club and all of its activities (mats, t-shirts, etc.)

Everyone’s teamwork and perseverance has made this happen!

I am proud of what we've done and even more excited for the future. It’s just the start of what’s to come, and the club will continue to grow and be one of the most successful and impactful groups this campus has ever seen! As we enter the 2016-17 school year, I could not be more happy to announce the new President of the GA Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Club, Macy Butler!

We had the amazing opportunity to train and learn with BJJ legend Scott Devine! A 3rd degree Black Belt, head instructor of Devine Jiu Jitsu's 13 schools, Multiple-time Pan American Gold Medalist, with over 28 years of BJJ experience! A success and fun time for everyone who came!
