🏒 MAINEIACS WELCOME DAY — YOU’RE INVITED! 🧡💙

The Lewiston MAINEiacs are getting ready for the upcoming season, and we’re kicking things off with a day at The Colisée for our fans and community!

📍 The Colisée, Lewiston
⏰ Starting at 11 a.m.

Come watch the MAINEiacs take the ice, then lace up your skates and join the players for a public skate from 11:45 a.m.–12:30 p.m. Bring your own skates or rentals will be available.

Season Ticket Holders are invited to stick around for a special reception in the Colisée Club from 12:30–1:30 p.m., with food and refreshments, a chance to meet the team and the opportunity to select season seats.

MAINEiacs merchandise and season ticket information will also be available throughout the event.

🏒 PARENTS’ NIGHT OUT! 🎬

Midcoast Youth Hockey is excited to host a Parents’ Night Out at Evening Star Cinema on Wednesday, August 26th, from 5:00–7:00 PM!

Parents, this is your chance to enjoy a couple of kid-free hours while your hockey player enjoys a movie with their teammates! 🍿🎥 This year we finish up the trilogy with D3: The Mighty Ducks!!!

They come back because they fall in love with the game, and because at Midcoast there's always a next step waiting: 6U and 8U house hockey, girls-only clinics from the very first year, travel teams, and a pathway that runs all the way to 18U and high school hockey.

Learn to Play Hockey with the Junior Polar Bears:

🥅 TRY GOALIE FOR FREE! 🥅

We are incredibly excited to announce our first MEAHA-sponsored Try Goalie for Free Clinics at The Ice Shack in Chelsea!

These clinics are 100% free and open exclusively to youth hockey players registered in Maine who want to give goaltending a try.

No experience? Perfect. That’s exactly what these sessions are for!

Our goal is to give kids a fun, low-pressure introduction to the position in a small ADM-style environment with professional goalie coaches, while also giving parents an opportunity to learn more about the position, equipment, and development process.

6 weeks of skating instruction in a fun, engaging and supportive environment for just $60.

After completing the program, players who want to continue from Learn to Skate to hockey can sign up for our Learn to Play Hockey program that begins in October!

One of the biggest challenges facing girls hockey is access to age and skill-appropriate play. Traditionally it's been either co-ed or travel.

Over the past several months, several associations throughout Maine, New Hampshire, and Vermont have been working on building a network of Tier 4 14U teams to give girls in this age group a place to play and grow.

As we've worked through the numbers, we are excited to announce that Midcoast will be fielding a team in the Tri-State Girls Hockey League at the 14U level. This team will include cross-rostered players from our 12U Tier 4 Girls and 14U Tier 4 co-ed teams; providing these players with a chance to play together as we build to a standalone 14U Tier 4 team next season!

This opportunity is completely supplemental to the house team experience and will not conflict with standard Tier 4 team play. What it will do is provide these players with a great place to connect and play while we continue to do our part to grow the girls game in Maine and the New England region!
