JOB OPENING:
Content Creator ... see below

We’re looking for the person who’s going to take our content to the NEXT LEVEL. 👀🔥

We are officially hiring a full-time Content Creator to join our team and we’re not just looking for someone who knows how to post on social media. Benefits:

✨ Health, vision & dental insurance 100% covered
✨ PTO
✨ 401(k) with matching
✨ Full-time employment
✨ Tons of room to grow

Experience in content creation is required. Show us what you’ve created. Show us how you think. Show us why you’re different. ❤️❤️❤️ Think that’s you? Apply through the link in our bio.

Look at our chair, Dr. Jennifer Lemanski, doing amazing things across the pond!

We were honored to be invited to present at the 35th Annual Meeting of the International Police Executive Symposium (IPES), held in Lisbon, Portugal, June 21–26, 2025.

Dr. Gordon A. Crews, Chair and Keith A. Ferguson Endowed Professor of Criminal Justice, and Dr. Jennifer L. Lemanski, Chair and Professor of Communication, represented the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley with their research presentation:

"Policing in a Digitally Constructed World: Media Fear, Public Perception, and School Violence Response."

The conference brought together police executives, scholars, and criminal justice professionals from around the world to discuss emerging issues in policing, public safety, and criminal justice. It was an outstanding opportunity to share our research, exchange ideas with international colleagues, and establish new collaborations for future research and academic partnerships.

We are grateful to IPES for the invitation and look forward to continuing these important international conversations.
