Classical Tones

Classical Tones Music School is excited to announce that Anna will be joining our team as a viola/violin teacher!🎉

Anna Lugbill, violin, graduated from Ithaca College in 2020 with a B.M. in Music Education under the study of Calvin Wiersma. She is currently pursuing her Masters in Violin Performance with Charles Wetherbee at the University of Colorado at Boulder.

Anna is also a certified Suzuki Violin Book 1 teacher. She was a Suzuki student herself, starting at age four. Anna incorporates many of the Suzuki methods into her teaching style. She also likes to use method books, duets, and fiddle tunes, among other popular songs in her teaching. She works collaboratively with her students to find music they enjoy playing.

Anna has also had extensive performance experience. She performed with the National Orchestral Institute at University of Maryland for two summers. As a part of the festival, she had the opportunity to perform in masterclasses for Rachel Barton Pine, Juliana Athayde, and Jennifer Ross. She also had the opportunity to perform at Lincoln Center with the Ithaca College Symphony Orchestra.

Anna is both a passionate teacher and performer. She enjoys sharing her love for music with others and hopes to help create lifelong musicians through her teaching.
