Our 4th graders had an incredible time at the Success Academy Festival of the Performing Arts! 🎭✨

This special event celebrates the very best of performing arts across the network, and our scholars were thrilled to experience such inspiring talent. From music to dance to theater, each performance showcased the creativity, dedication, and passion of students who earned their place on stage through auditions.

Held at the iconic United Palace in Manhattan, the festival also gave our scholars a glimpse into what’s ahead as they prepare for their transition to middle school. They loved learning about the exciting opportunities waiting for them — from performing arts and clubs to athletics and new school communities.

It was a joyful, inspiring experience that left our students energized and excited for the future! 🧡💙

This past week our Kindergarten and 1st Grade scholars had an unforgettable adventure at the American Museum of Natural History!

Students explored numerous exhibits and were especially excited to dive into the fascinating world of dinosaur evolution. From towering fossils to interactive displays, our young scientists asked questions, made discoveries, and connected what they’ve been learning in the classroom to the incredible history of life on Earth. A day full of curiosity, exploration, and learning! 🦕🧡💙

Getting a peek into the many ways our scholars celebrated the success of their Trimester 2 assessments was such a joy!

Their hard work, big smiles, and proud moments say it all. We hope they’re enjoying a spring break filled with rest, laughter, and lots of well-deserved happiness! 🧡💙

Our scholars don’t just play chess during elective and instructional time — they live it! ♟️✨ We love seeing them challenge one another, think several moves ahead, and sharpen their strategies even outside the classroom.

As we head into Spring Break, we hope they continue activating their skills, practicing their moves, and playing with each other whenever they can. Keep those minds sharp and those kings protected! 👑♟️

Shoutout to Mr. Campbell, our amazing chess teacher, for inspiring such a strong love for the game and building our scholars’ confidence and critical thinking every day! 🧡💙

We have been monitoring the weather forecast and have decided that all Success Academy schools will be CLOSED tomorrow, Monday, February 23.

We do not think it will be a good use of your scholars’ or our educators’ time to host remote learning. Instead, we encourage your kids to spend the day having fun in the snow, cuddling up with a book, and studying for this week’s trimester assessments! We are using tomorrow to invest in our teachers’ training and development.

In celebration of Black History Month, our scholars experienced an unforgettable Field Study that brought history and culture to life! From the powerful rhythms of WULA Drum to the vibrant movements of traditional African dance, students explored the rich musical traditions and instruments of African origin. Through hands-on learning, they didn’t just hear the beat — they felt the culture, the history, and the celebration of heritage.🧡💙
