Last Friday was Commitment Signing Day at Bushwick! Each senior got a chance to show off and celebrate their next steps after graduation — whether thats school or workforce, close to home or a in new city. We’re so excited to see what they do next. Last week we celebrated the amazing achievements of the class of 2026 at the annual Senior Banquet! Many of our students were awarded for their academic excellence, including individual subjects, AP Testing, and the National Honors Society. But we also acknowledged their incredible demonstration of MESA's core values of Pride, Empathy, Purpose, and Courage. We’re so proud of what they’ve accomplished. Congratulations Seniors! 🏆💙💛

Hey MESA Family — the June 23 Primary Election is approaching quickly!

This election will help determine leadership that directly impacts our schools, communities, and families—from education funding to public services.

- Make sure you’re ready:
- Register or update your voter registration by June 13
- You must be registered with a party to vote in that party’s primary
- Plan ahead for early voting (June 13–21) or Election Day

Estas elecciones ayudarán a determinar el liderazgo que impacta directamente en nuestras escuelas, comunidades y familias, desde la financiación de la educación hasta los servicios públicos.

South Brooklyn recently held their first annual Night of Arts! Not only was there a gallery showcase displaying student artwork, but the night included a performance showcase featuring music, poetry, and theatre. Great job to all our artists! 🧑‍🎨 🎶 🎭

Last week, our Bushwick and South Brooklyn Volleyball teams competed against each other in a school-wide game! So cool to see our two teams side-by-side. Great job boys, and shoutout to our coaches! 🏐 💛 💙

This week, both our Bushwick and South Brooklyn campuses hosted some delicious food festivals to celebrate AAPI Month! Each spread continued a variety of dishes such as sesame chicken, chow mein, samosas, and Korean bulgogi. Additionally, Bushwick’s festival had some fun and educational, interactive stations which highlighted different regions across AAPI, specifically China, Japan, India, and Korea! 🪷 🌺 🌸

Lottery Night 2026!

Our Bushwick and South Brooklyn campuses each held their live admissions lottery for the 2026-2027 school year. In just two nights, we welcomed and enrolled so many new families to our schools! We’re thrilled to be part of this exciting new chapter for them!

Congratulations to our new families and thank you for choosing MESA! Class of 2030, we’re ready for you!! 💙 💛

East New York will be hosting their Lottery Night next week Tuesday, April 21st at 5 pm, located at 276 Chestnut Street, Brooklyn, NY 11208. Stay tuned!

Bushwick and South Brooklyn will each be hosting a live admissions lottery for the 2026-2027 school year! This is a great opportunity to connect with school staff, visit the campus, and enroll your student on the spot if accepted!
