What does Jesus’ birthday have to do with yoga? The sun of man showed us how to turn to light in a human body and there are texts that also show his presence in Buddhist monasteries such as Ganden monastery. His Sanskrit name was ISSA. There are such beautiful commonalities in the way Jesus lived his life and in Buddhist teachings. Ask me more about this in the comments😇👇🏻. The Buddhists teach a full path to Enlightenment with resulting rainbow bodies (just like Jesus did) for those who do it in this life. A perk on this path to ultimate love wisdom, is transforming and using all emotions as a path to enlightenment, using the power of the body, postures, breath, concentration, and bodhichitta motivation always. Lady Niguma yoga is one of the best practices for emotional alchemy and turning this normal body into a being of light who can take care of many others. It’s easy to forget the power we have to transform reality from the inside out. So creating a daily habit of turning inwards to develop the thoughts we want to habituate is so important if we dont want to get caught up in victim mentality. We must learn to direct the thoughts so the monkey mind does not take over. We can also rely on the easy yet drastic method of outer asana postures to move prana and thoughts toward the central channel. Yay for yoga, Jesus, Buddha, teachers, friends family who help us to know what to take up and let go of by reflecting our past actions and thoughts and speech. May all beings be happy health and free. So happyyyy todayyyyy. This world is blessed to have all of you in it. Be the light you want to see today🌞😇❤️.

What is your biggest obstacle to doing yoga every week?

Who knew ones legs could open the heart? Binding foot to hand creates a feedback loop of Prana, a flow of life force grounded in the practice of moving for the sake of others. When legs are grounded and hips level it can create a balanced sense of lightness in the chest and shoulders. Let’s go deeper past the skin muscles bones, there’s is breath thoughts and then prana running in the channels-what thoughts can open the heart chakra? Have you tried doing a pose for yourself vs doing a pose to benefit someone else? reminded me of this practice in her movement class for the mixed nuts translation program today😘There’s an underlying misunderstanding that yoga seeks to destroy, a grasping to a wrong idea that things and people are coming at us for no reason at all. These thoughts create the choke points or chakras around the central channel-shushumna nadi. When we take responsibility for our experience and actions, our thoughts become more generous and understanding running through the central channel. In my experience, this switch of motivation can lead to an abundant divine smirk like That lovely feeling after yoga or the sun warming your face on a cold day. A smirk of knowing, an understanding of where reality comes from which provokes behavior that is overflowing with love wisdom and understanding. That smirk or smile is even a result of the side channels falling to side and moving towards the center due to the thoughts and prana. So if you are feeling afflicted, looking at a photo of or think of a happy time that you created to redirect the prana:) So today I practice smiling and dancing rejoicing in the good things I created and dedicating to some days not sucking at all😂🤣🙃

Thinking about alignment as an outer practice vs. inner activities to merge the mind with highest intention today. What brings the mind to the center of the energetic body... to sushumna. What are the ultimate and conventional causes?.. what are some practices you do to feel centered? Comment below 👇🏻 today I had the honor of subbing yoga for the amazing and am so grateful to be able to share yoga. When I can fully serve others with joy it helps me move my mind to a higher centered place. I get to step out of my own agendas and self centered thinking and let the intention of sharing the beautiful practice of Hatha yoga open my channels. The three Spheres, taught in Buddhism, is another way I move my mind to a centered place by focusing on the emptiness of myself, the action and the receiver of the action. If this interests you check out the mixed nuts reading club on thursdays and for more teachings on emptiness.

If you feel separate or alone today, just know that you are not alone, there is likely someone to else who feels the same way. Kriya meditation:
1. Take a deep inhale and receive your own infinite wisdom through the crown of your head, down the central channel to the pelvic floor.
2. exhale it to every cell of your body. 3. Do this three times until you fill your whole body with light. 4. Co tongue to inhale and receive light love wisdom, continue to exhale and Expand it into the subtle space around you in a bubble. 5. Expand beyond the bubble to anyone who needs support right now. I love you all of you
