Today is my final day as executive superintendent of Brooklyn South and Staten Island. It has been an amazing ride and I am grateful for the opportunity to serve superintendents,BCO staff, principals, families and students.
We have accomplished a lot together and wish you continued growth and successs. All superintendents in our area have been reappointed, and big congratulations to each of you. Please join the Yoga & Mindfulness Teacher Preparation Program (YMTP²) in coordination with the NYCDOE Office of School Climate & Wellbeing, today, Friday May 6, 2022, from 10:00 - 10:45 A.M. EST.
During this 45-minute session, YMTP² teachers will lead breath, yoga, and mindfulness practices. These sessions offer opportunities for students and staff to engage in self-regulation, enhanced reflection, and stress and anxiety reduction.

Please see attached the flyer for our HBCU Virtual Event scheduled for Saturday, March 26, 2022, 11 AM to 1 PM. During the event, we will have a panel discussion about financing an HBCU education. The panel will consist of HBCU higher education professionals, HBCU students, a parent and a financial aid and scholarship expert, to speak from different perspectives.
