Ethical fashion and home goods, handmade by our artisan partners in Guatemala. "Love is the message, fashion is the medium."

Estrella de Mar was founded in 2012 by Emily Pinto and Julie Savoie. "Each of us had previously visited Guatemala and fallen in love with the extraordinary, traditional textiles and the richness of the Mayan culture. Backstrap loom weaving is an ancient, meaningful art form and one of the textile traditions that our handmade goods help to preserve. This is slow fashion. Handwoven textiles are made with love and made to last.

Here, our Indigo Multi textile is being woven by one of our artisan partners in Guatemala. This textile is available on many pieces from our latest collection- Card Holders, Passport Wallets, Tote Bags and more.
