Pacing: it’s where races are won and lost! Thus, we’re thrilled to bring this topic to the March General Membership meeting, where we will discuss pacing in all of its forms. Our panel includes experienced pacers who can give their insights on pacing for yourself, for friends, in group runs, and in road & trail race settings. Join us if you are chasing negative splits and positive vibes!
Speakers
Patrick Dela Cruz can be found at the Saturday Long Runs (sometimes as a pacer!), Friday Coffee Runs, helping out the Social Committee, and volunteering for many PPTC races. Patrick is a medical student completing clinical rotations in NYC hospitals. Whether it’s running as a pacer, cheering at races, or seeing patients, he’s happy to support you and the local community!
Kyle Eskridge moved to NYC in June 2023 and joined PPTC in July. He learned the value of training and racing in community and ran his first 100 miler at the Rocky Racoon 100 miler in Huntsville, TX and could have not finished the race without the support of his PPTC teammates. Kyle found his passion for pacing and crewing, and has since paced several other runners at the 100 mile distance.
Janice Fuld joined PPTC in 2009 and is currently a member of the PPTC Board. She enjoys pacing races and PPTC group runs and has been an official pacer for NYRR since 2017. She will be pacing the 2026 NYRR United Airlines NYC Half and Maybelline Women’s Half.
Sachie Kita is a Hotel Project Manager by day, amateur chef by night. Her philosophy is simple: Run to eat, eat to run. Usually found on the Prospect Park loop, or in the kitchen with NYT Cooking recipes.
This panel will be moderated by Crystal Cun.

See you at Da Nona Rosa tonight at 7 pm!
Tonight’s meeting will be all about your highs and lows at the NYC Marathon!
It’s hard to believe another New York City Marathon and fall marathon season is already behind us. Whether you crossed the finish line with a smile, a grimace, or a PR, had the race you hoped for or didn’t, or had to call it early – you did something extraordinary. 26.2 miles is never easy. It takes months of early mornings, sore legs, and dedication to even get to the start line. That’s worth celebrating all on its own.
To everyone who ran, supported, or volunteered–THANK YOU!. From buses and bag check to cheer zones and post-race school recovery aid, this weekend was a team effort through and through. You made the magic happen.
Every year after the NYC Marathon, we hand the mic to you, our members, to share race recaps: the highs, the lows, and the stories that made it all the more meaningful. You bring your medals and memories, and PPTC will bring the post-race pizza.
Again, massive congratulations to every runner who showed up for themselves and their community this season, and endless thanks to all the volunteers. You make this club what it is.
