Making Science Unforgettable I’m a former national TV meteorologist (FOX Weather) turned entrepreneur, speaker, and Chief Fun Officer of two brands on a mission:

→ Drizzle Weather:

Making STEM unforgettable for kids.
→ Drizzle Communications: Helping leaders own the mic and the moment. With Drizzle Weather, I lead live weather assemblies, drone STEM shows, edible science experiences, and school programming that turns classrooms into launchpads for future scientists, climate leaders, and curious minds. We serve K–12 schools, summer camps, and nonprofits across the country — with a vibe that’s part Bill Nye, part Beyoncé. Through Drizzle Communications, I train educators, executives, and spokespeople in how to show up powerfully in front of cameras, microphones, and parents. From crisis communication to storytelling that lands press coverage, I help schools and organizations master their message and build trust.

🎧 Oh — and sometimes I DJ as DJ Jay Storm, because science and rhythm go together like clouds and rain.

That's a radar map made of nachos. Yes, I'm serious. Yes, it was delicious.

This was me at the Njsacc: New Jersey's Afterschool & OST Professional Network conference showing afterschool leaders what Edible Weather looks like when it leaves the book and lands on a plate.

Here's the part nobody posts about:

The interest is constant. Every table, every conversation, every "wait, the kids EAT the science?" The eyes light up. The cameras come out.

And then, more often than I'd like: "We love it. We just can't afford it right now."

That's not a rejection of the product. That's a budget line talking. But when you hear it enough times in one day, it starts to sound personal. Here's what I've learned running this business: the "no" is loud. The "yes" is slow. And the only thing that gets you from one to the other is believing in what you're holding, even when the person across the table can't sign the check yet.

Because somebody in that room is going to find the funding. Somebody is going to remember the nacho radar six months from now when a grant comes through. And they're going to remember the guy who kept showing up.

Weather doesn't stop because the forecast is gloomy. Neither do I. Bring us in. Your students will never look at a cold front, or a nacho, the same way again.

Two years ago, Drizzle Weather was just something I could see in my head. I could see the kids laughing while learning about science.

I could see classrooms turning into weather labs. I could imagine taking my experience as a Meteorologist and creating something completely different…. a company where STEM education, food, music and entertainment could somehow all live under the same roof.

The problem? Nobody else could see it yet. That’s one of the hardest parts of entrepreneurship. You have to believe in something before there is evidence that it works.

Today, Drizzle Weather has brought our programs to more than 5,0000 students across multiple states, partnered with schools and organizations, developed Edible Weather experiences, built a growing team of educators. The cool part is we’re still only scratching the surface of what this can become.

Visualization isn’t magic.

It doesn’t replace strategy. It doesn’t replace sales. It definitely doesn’t replace doing the work.
But sometimes you have to see the destination before you can build the road to get there.

And lately, I’ve been reminding myself:

The version of Drizzle Weather I’m visualizing today may eventually look small compared to what we actually build.

Keep dreaming. Keep believing. Then get back to work.

Two years ago, Edible Weather was an idea. This summer, that idea traveled.

From New York and New Jersey to Connecticut, Baltimore, and Georgia, we worked with schools, camps, nonprofits, and community organizations to teach kids about weather and climate in a completely different way:

By letting them eat it.

This summer reinforced something I deeply believe:

Kids aren’t hard to engage. We just have to rethink how we engage them.

When you combine science with food, storytelling, movement, and entertainment, students don’t just learn science, they experience it.

I’m incredibly proud to watch something that started as an idea grow into a program reaching kids across multiple states. Thank you to my team for making this a reality. We could not have reached 5,000 kids this summer without you.

And the good news, we’re only getting started.

After our Radar Ripple Dip experiment, the kids at PS 184 shouted a thank-you so loud you could hear it down the hall! That’s the sound of STEM sparking pure excitement. Moments like these remind me why I’m mixing science and fun every day. PS - couldn’t show the kids for privacy reasons 😀

Rejection doesn't end when you leave TV.

In television, everyone knows the odds. For every 10 jobs you apply for, you might hear "no" 9 times before getting one "yes."

I thought that chapter of my life was over.

Then I started building Drizzle Weather.

I've pitched more than 150 schools, after-school programs, and educators. In the beginning, I heard "no" constantly. Even worse, many never responded at all.

It would've been easy to believe the silence meant I wasn't good enough.

But every "no" and every unanswered email brought me one step closer to the people who believed in the mission.

This year, Drizzle Weather will help nearly 10,000 students discover weather and climate through hands-on STEM experiences.

Building something from scratch is lonely. There are days when it feels like no one sees the vision.

But I've learned this:

Every rejection is simply narrowing the path to the right "yes."

If you're building something you believe in, keep going. The next email, the next phone call, or the next meeting could be the one that changes everything.

What a day across the Eastern half of the USA. All of these boxes are either Severe Thunderstorm Watches or Warnings. The red boxes in places like NJ are Tornado Warnings. Where you see green, thats Flash Flooding Warnings.

15 inches of rain fell in some parts of NE Ohio yesterday. That same system heads to the Northeast today.
