Creative Confections by Alicia Specializing in decadent sweet treats including artistically designed wedding cakes, cheesecakes, mini pies, cake balls, cupcakes and much more.

Creative Confections is a licensed home bake shop owned by Alicia Russell, located just 13 miles south of Madison, Wisconsin. In addition to over 30 years of experience, Alicia has participated in classes and workshops on Lambeth, Figure Piping and numerous Australian Fondant techniques from internationally recognized cake artists. She is a member of the International Cake Exploration Societe and

regularly participates in their conferences to keep abreast of the latest trends. Alicia is best characterized as a perfectionist. She continues to share her confectionary skills with adults and youth through local classes and workshops.

Happy 4th Birthday to Lexi! It is so fun to look back at all the cakes her Mom has ordered for Lexi’s birthdays❤️This birthday theme was a “Very SWEET One” and it was just that with decadent chocolate chip cookie dough filling sandwiched between 3 layers of chocolate chip cake and
topped with as many sugary lollipops that would fit! All this accompanied by candy theme decorated sugar cookies with my favorite being the gumball machine cookies! ‼️

It is once again time to catch up with bakery posts! Cupcakes for a Celebration of Life! Flavors included Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough, Chocolate Peanut Butter Cup, Lemon with Tart Lemon Buttercream, Red Velvet with Cream Cheese Frosting, Raspberry Swirl and Caramel with Salted Caramel Frosting! So many delicious options!

I had the pleasure of making the wedding cake for one of my past students recently! McKenna was a student in many of the classes I taught at Albany School and I even remember a few mentions of her boyfriend, now husband, Trent❤️ The buttercream frosted cake included chocolate amaretto, lemon poppyseed, and raspberry swirl flavors.
