Our Ownership Idea Fest pilots proved to our school and district partners, to investor mentors, to students themselves that students are transformational creators and investors. We build a village of support around them and they take off. This is the basis of our semester long curriculum. It's happening now! Thank you to all who have been a part and to all who will join us this year!

On Martin Luther King Day 2021, we are launching our first Ownership Idea Fest! This one will be for high school seniors in Brooklyn, the Bronx, and DeKalb County. While our year long program will be for juniors (Ownership Idea Fest for juniors in March), we’re looking for senior leaders. Seniors that participate will become our program leaders and will be eligible for cash investment in their business ideas, paid internships with our team, and mentorship from successful community and business leaders across the country. The purpose of the Ownership Idea Fest is to help you build your ideas, invest in other students’ ideas and grow together to build the foundation for your future! It all starts with students and their ideas - we support the skills development, mentorship and financial investment. This is a leadership opportunity to build something new in our communities and beyond.

The full Ownership Is The Future program will begin in April 2021 for current juniors. Programming for juniors begins with our summer intensive, extends to our credit-bearing senior year course, and concludes with post-secondary support. Top plans will receive cash investment and support and students are encouraged and supported in working together. Enterprises can range from small business solutions in your communities, to high growth technology solutions and social impact organizations.

Our senior leaders will help with the recruitment of juniors, serve as role models as they build their enterprises, and serve as leaders throughout the program. Seniors who are ready to invest in themselves and their communities, please complete the preliminary application. Link in bio.
