Quick Walk down memory lane on my spiritual awakening journey.

One night at a wedding 3 years ago I was sharing with I was going to be a life coach.

The woman across from me said: “Really? I thought life coaches had to be like really good and successful at life?”

I was crushed.

My deepest fear was revealed. That I had no business becoming a coach, because I had not, by anyone’s standards been a “success” in my life.

The truth is, pretty much every area of life from relationships, to addictions, to money and career had experienced some major upsets.

So, how could I possibly help anyone?!

The truth is: all of my downfalls have made me a MUCH better coach.

In many ways, I now coach all of the people I was over the last 6 years.
🌙The woman who struggles with money.
🌙The woman who struggles with Identity (as you can see I have tried in several).
🌙The woman who will lay down her life to be liked.
🌙The woman who thinks over working = being liked + validation
🌙The woman who can’t sleep at night cause she’s so worried everything she’s earned will disappear over night.

And as I’ve healed these parts of me, the survival patterns and fears I picked up in childhood, the ACTUAL childhood version of me gets to be revealed.

The child that knows she’s loved by god.

The child that knows she safe to play, sing and dance in the world.

And the child that knows it’s safe to say no and draw a boundary.

I’ve let go of MANY of the masculine identities I’ve used to protect myself from harm.

🧝‍♀️The holier than though spiritual guide
🙋🏼‍♂️The jock/success fiend
🧘‍♀️The vegan yogi preacher

In order to reveal the soft, Disney movie loving, silly dance partying, relaxed in to life version of me.

It’s not perfect but perfect is when you’re dead :)

The truth is my dog wears the pants in our relationship.

I adopted Melvin when he was 6 months old after having beers at lunch with my Aunt.

He cost $50 and came with food and medicine.

For some reason they gave him to me on the spot with no background check.

I rushed him home and whipped open my laptop.

Google: How long do pit bulls live??

14yrs.

Now that Melvin is 11.5 and entering his achy senior years, I can’t believe how far he’s travelled with me.

Every decision I’ve ever made professionally and home-wise has been around him and his needs.

He’s been my healer, my best-friend, my child, and sometimes has felt like a parent :)

He gets gruff when I pace back and for a half hour looking for everything I need!

Dogs can be a woman’s best friend too.

He’s my whole heart ♥️

Now 14 years seems like no time at all.

I can’t imagine falling asleep without his breathing beside me.

We don’t deserve dogs!!!

It’s the one year anniversary of filing the LLC for my coaching biz and I’ve decided to do a along with my Selling with Soul team about my 1st full year in business.

Truth #1: Last year after getting let go from my job, I thought I might be delusional to try to start my coaching business again.

Honestly, this wasn’t the first start at becoming a full time coach.

🙋🏽‍♀️ It’s my 3rd attempt.

👉🏽 People say follow your heart and the money will come.
I have found that to be only partially true. You have to support yourself financially until your dream actually works.

👉🏽 Following your heart takes just as much work as anything else -> and the inner work is the most important thing you can do.

👉🏽 It took me years of healing my own past to be able to support others in their healing journey, and I’m so grateful I took the time.

I am doing everything in that plan now but, without laying the foundation (spiritually, mentally, emotionally) I couldn’t hold the space that I can now!!

So if you’re reading this far and you know you want to go after your dream biz, go for it!! And also know that it will kick the s**t out of you, and you’ll be happy, and weary, and tired, and excited, and mopey, and broke sometimes.

But you’ll have created something new in the world, and fulfilled your self expression, and that is worth the effort.

YOUR COACHING BIZ IS NOT DOING AS WELL AS IT COULD .... WHY?

👉🏽 CAUSE YOU’RE AFRAID OF PEOPLE.

Story time:

I WISH you could see from my side of the zoom screen how many AMAZING, BEAUTIFUL + TALENTED people come through with the same problems:

⭐️ “If I put my business out there on social media, I’m afraid I’ll be judged, or will fail and then will be permanently humiliated.”

⭐️ “If I sell to someone and ask for thousands of dollars, what if I disappoint them?!”

⭐️ “If I actually decide that I have a business and get clear on my offers - what If someone says I’m crazy and laughs at me or tells me I’m doing it wrong?!”

Guys what if?!

💥Who are these people lurking in the shadows of social media waiting to tear your dreams down?! 💥

The essence of this problem is that we are replaying a scenario from childhood, either where our parents scared us or criticized us, or some middle school bully shattered our confidence, and now we project this trauma out in to our WHOLE WORLD.

I hate to say it, but what changed the game for me in my coaching business was hiring a good coach.

I know it's EXTREMELY cliche.

+ But, I didn't have the confidence to ask for high-ticket payments from clients until I did it myself.

+ I didn't actually know ANYTHING about how to market my coaching business online, even though I had been a marketing director at 2 different companies.

+ My consistency in showing up on social media was absolute Sh*t before I hired a coach to help me work through my mindset blocks around being seen.

Here's the truth.

+ I was getting in m own way because I thought "I could handle everything myself" - a lifelong motto.

+ I was going broke doing it my way (my first 2 months in business I made a wopping $800/mo).

+ I was honestly sinking in to depression and scanning job listings wondering if I made a mistake.

Then I took a chance on myself and decided to invest the equivalent of my rent payment in a coach.

I was s**t scared.

But I made that money back in 48 hours of signing with her.

Then, I turned around and had my best month in sales ever during a pandemic.

Lesson here: It takes doing the OPPOSITE action when you are afraid and backed in to a corner to have a massive breakthrough financially.

My mind made up every excuse in the book as to why my choice to invest in myself was irrational.

What does a fight you had with your sister in the 5th grade have to do with your Sales as a coach?

Actually, everything.

Story time: our subconscious limiting beliefs about what we deserve to have in this life in the way of abundance are created EARLY on in life.

If you look at our education system, we are never taught personal finance, it’s not required high school or college curriculum.

So all the beliefs you’ve gathered about money, on a subconscious level, are rooted in childhood.

That’s right!

Other coaches might tell you that what you’re lacking in your is strategy, and while strategy is important, it is 10% of the actual game when it comes to showing up confidently and asking for what you deserve in terms of pricing for your work.

The other 90% comes from what you believe you get to have in your relationship with money.

Don’t take if from me:
